PRODUCTS / CSP - Concentrated Solar Power

The key benefits of LIGPA's CSP system partnership are:

1) "Green" zero-emissions generation of heat and electricity.

2) Immunity from rising energy costs, since the price of energy from the sun will not escalate over time.

3) Amortized energy costs at about 50% of what consumers currently pay for propane or electric heat.

4) A reliable and independent system that helps your office or business function without interruption during power shortages, high cost peak demand or blackouts.

5) Modular absorbers (designed specifically for thermal, thermal & PV or Hybrid Solar Lighting) mean that a Power-Spar® installation can be created for your specific requirements.

The absorbers can be replaced "in the field," which provides for unprecedented upgrade capabilities. As more efficient PhotoVoltaic cells become available, your solar installation can take advantage of the greater power output quickly and cost effectively. You even receive a credit for your old absorbers!

A third-party validation of Concentrated Solar Power installations has demonstrated that buildings using the Power-Spar (R) system to supplement propane heating can reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions by up to 4.3 tonnes of CO emissions (increasing to 5.2 tonnes per year of PhotoVoltaic (PV) cells generating
electricity.) A building that is using the CSP energy system to supplement electrical heating is expected to reduce their CO emissions by as much as 7.3 tonnes per year (and that should rise to 8.6. tonnes per year with PV power generation).
